I believe we are all born with this no matter how neurodiverse, no matter our background.
But life shapes us.
From childhood to adulthood, our environments, relationships, and experiences form beliefs, coping strategies, and emotional patterns. We’re taught to fit into systems that often reward speed, conformity, and disconnection from our true selves.
And yet, our brain and body are doing exactly what they were designed to do: survive.
The autonomic nervous system is constantly scanning for danger — even if the “threat” is just a presentation, a group conversation, or a moment of vulnerability. This is not a flaw. It’s your natural intelligence at work.
