Somewhere in London, Edward is thinking, “I’ll just have a cup of coffee then I must sit down and apply for that job I spotted yesterday on the Internet for a Ding-Dong Production Manager in Peckham.”
Elsewhere, at the same time and in the Ding-Dong factory, “Morning John, did you see that application from Janet that came in overnight: she sounds like the perfect candidate for the Ding-Dong Production Manager. I’ve just spoken to her and she’s coming in for an interview this afternoon at 3:00 pm.”
Two days later in the same factory, “Morning John, yet another interesting application arrived this morning from a guy called Edward. Could have been worth interviewing, but I think we made the right decision offering the post to Janet.”
Two days later still, somewhere in London, Edward is just having another coffee wondering why he hardly ever gets any interviews.
He continues wondering, but the blacksmith's mantra, "Strike while the iron is hot," never crosses his mind. Hmmm! If only he hadn't procrastinated!
