The B-52 drink is a rich layered shot made from an Irish cream, an apple liqueur, and an English cream. When made properly, all three layers separate into 3 distinctly noticeable layers. These layers taste like plums, prunes, and pears with hints of vanilla and cinnamon. A great drink to serve at a holiday party or for entertaining.
For this drink, we used an old-fashioned espresso machine and purchased three ounces of the English cream, four ounces of the Irish cream, two ounces of Grand Marnier, and one tablespoon of Grand Marnier absolute. We also added two dandelion slices and two teaspoon sherry. This beverage was made by adding coffee, espresso, Grand Marnier, sugar, and lemon juice to the espresso. We also stir in the double cream and Grand Marnier absolute to the coffee before brewing in a glass carafe.
First, we preheated the stove to bring out the smell of burning coffee. Then, we lined three spoons of the English cream in two bowls, one large and one small. In a metal mixing bowl, we put the cinnamon sticks and the prunes. Then, we placed the Grand Marnier into the small bowl and the Irish cream into the large bowl. Using a rubber ducky, we dipped the top of the Irish cream into the double cream. After that, we placed the raspberries and sherry into the coffee.
The b52 drink wasn't complete until we served the Cointreau drink b52. We served the tea in clear glasses, since the coffee liqueur can sometimes stain glasses. We poured some tea into each glass, adding just enough hot water to cover all of the tea leaves. Then, we poured in the Grand Marnier to cover the tops of the glasses. Then, we allowed them to steep for about five minutes, which added to the freshness of the drink.
After this, we stir in the sugar with the coffee. The sherry is optional, but it adds a nice flavor. Then, we stir in the lemon and the Grand Marnier to the drink. The final step is to pour in the kahlrit cotton ball. This ensured that all ingredients are evenly mixed and that there is no glue showing from the coffee liqueur on the bottom.
To ensure that the coffee has completely dissolved before serving, we poured in one more generous amount of the Grand Marnier. When stirring to mix the drink, it was important not to over-paste the alcohol. This will prevent the drink from becoming too thick. In addition, it created a richer taste. Once everything was blended well, we served it over ice. It was a delicious and relatively cheap outing to the traditional drink list of an Irish Catholic.
The B52 drink is actually the last name of the famous aircraft, which is known affectionately as the "B Bomber". In fact, the name has been used by many Hollywood films, most notably, the 1976 movie, Top Gun. Although many people believe the plane was named after the B52 Interceptor, this is most likely not the case; instead the name was given due to its uncanny resemblance to the original B 1952 flight, which was painted white with red and black horizontal stripes.
If you are going to a sporting event, a concert or any other occasion where you might be tempted to take a shot of this delectable beer, keep in mind what it is for. It is known for being a very potent mixture that can have some seriously negative consequences if consumed in excess. If you do decide to stock up on this delectable beverage, be sure to take a moment to read all of the ingredients listed on the bottle. Also, it is important to keep in mind that the B52 drink contains three parts alcohol, so consuming more than one can cause negative side effects.
