Volkswagen have plans set to construct a second factory close to its headquaters in Germany.
Their new factory will specialise is manufactoring their new full electric saloon, the "Trinity".
Their original plans were to convert one of their current factories into an EV factory, however they noticed it would be cheaper and more cost efficient to just build a new factory that will already have all of the equipment and macheinery to build their new EV saloon. They have not reveiled how much they are going to spend on building this new factory, however they said that when the factory is up and running it is estimated to being able to produce a car every 10 hours.
The planned site is still waiting to be approved by Volkswagens supervisory board.
As we see week in and week out, here is more evidence to support the fact that we are going to have to become an all EV world.
Are you lucky enough to already own an EV? Or are you thinking about getting one?
Great!
