The second of my London clients within a few weeks completed on a mortgage for a semi commercial property. Plus we managed to secure a prime lender with a prime rate.
Definitely more complexities in the deal, and more paperwork required than for a residential mortgage. However, the client does now own his own trading premises, is building security for future loans, generates additional rental income from the flat upstairs and is independent from any future rent increases by his landlord.
