We don’t mind a bit of gardening every now and then, but for the farmers and food providers that are responsible for keeping the world fed, new technological breakthroughs are facilitating huge advances in the productivity of crop tending practices.

Deanna Kovar, a representative of US farming equipment company John Deere says that the company's revolutionary new tractor-pulled weed sprayer, catchily dubbed ‘See & Spray Ultimate’, can allegedly reduce herbicide usage by two thirds, whilst simultaneously making dramatic improvements to overall crop-tending efficiency.

The system, which utilises A.I. to identify and administer herbicide specifically to scanned weeds that pass in view of the machine 36 built-in cameras, is currently only available in the US, with an eye for expansion once its effectiveness is proven.
